A proper light source is selected to match the photo
  sensitivity of the PSD supplied.

 

 
⊙ Anglog Signal Processing Board
A pulse amplitude modulation method is adopted to
  reduce the dark current and fluorescent noise.
Mechanical resolution can be accordingly improved
  by adjusting the sensing range of the PSD.

 

 
⊙ Digital Signal Processing Board
Direct connection to computers can be achieved
  without using a data acquisition board through a parallel port.
The linearity characteristics is much improved by
  including linearity compensation logics.

 

 
⊙ Optical Head(total reflection type)
An optical head is provided to make the beam
  alignment easy.
It in included in the Model TBMPH-1.
The various nominal distance and full scale are
  obtained by rotating the LD socket.

 

 
⊙ Optical Head(diffused reflection type)
It is used when the object doesn't reflect well.
Linear output voltage is obtained regardless of
  the material and lightness of the object with a different gain
lt is included in the Model DBOPH.
